These websites are fully compliant with Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1 and with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) pursuant to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

It is based on an evaluation carried out by ÖZIV Austria and a self-assessment conducted by the Bregenzer Festspiele GmbH.

Accessibility at the Festspielhaus and on the Seebühne

As part of the third construction phase of the Festspielhaus, targeted investments were made to improve accessibility.

• On the Seebühne, a significantly higher number of wheelchair spaces are now available. This is intended to enable as many visitors with mobility impairments as possible with comfortable and unrestricted cultural experience. The number of wheelchair spaces has also been increased in the Große Saal of the Festspielhaus.
• At the Festspielhaus, elevators, accessible restroom facilities, and a tactile guidance system in the entrance foyer contribute to a more accessible experience.
• A new wireless assistive listening system with approximately 100 receivers will be implemented across all Festspielhaus venues – from the Seebühne and the Große Saal to the Werkstattbühne and Seestudio.
