Baroque meets Jazz

Baroque music rarely finds such a fresh and contemporary interpretation. The Berlin-based Trio Kronthaler, led by the young mezzo-soprano Theresa Kronthaler, takes new musical paths, blending exquisite Baroque arias by Monteverdi, Purcell, and Handel with well-known jazz standards, interwoven with pop and jazz elements. Together with jazz and electric guitarist Kalle Kalima and double bassist Oliver Potratz, Kronthaler reinterprets Italian and English arias and songs, employing modern stylistic methods. The world of music interpreted through a contemporary sound – a mesmerizing encounter with music!
